Classes are held in the Spring and Fall after-school and on Saturdays. We also offer programming Monday-Saturday during the summer.

Classes are currently offered at two sites:

At TPC Harding Park, the classroom portion of the session is held within the First Tee Classroom which is dedicated solely to the students of First Tee. The classroom is located in the clubhouse of TPC Harding Park. When you enter the building you make your first left down the hallway and we are the third door on the left directly across from the restaurant.

What should my child wear?
Proper golf attire is required. Appropriate clothing consists of: a collared shirt, khaki pants, and any type of athletic shoes. A First Tee collared shirt will be provided as well as a First Tee cap.
How do I sign up for classes?
You may register for classes on our website in the upper right hand corner in our “Register” tab. From there you can navigate to our parent portal link on that page.
Can my child miss any classes?
As a youth development program, we teach and reinforce the nine core values: two of which being responsibility and perseverance. Attending classes regularly is an easy way to practice those values. In the case of an emergency, we do understand and excuse those absences. Unfortunately, if two or more classes are misses, the student will be dropped from the session.
What are classes like?
Class size, age, and curriculum vary according to the class your child is enrolled in. All students begin at the PAR level of the program. At this level, we focus on introductory golf instruction and interpersonal skills. The next level, is BIRDIE. At this level, we provide more advanced instruction and focus on goal setting. The EAGLE level is designed for students who have been with First Tee for a minimum of 3 years and practice regularly outside of First Tee. At this level, our most advanced golf curriculum is delivered as well as our life skills curriculum which is focused on resiliency and planning for the future.
Each class we begin in the classroom where a coach introduces the life skill and golf skill of the day.
What ages are the students?
We have classes for ages 6-17. We also have classes for all ability levels.
Are there any perks of joining The First Tee?
There are many benefits of the First Tee experience. Our goal is not only to improve your child’s golf game but to aid in character development by reinforcing the values inherent to the game of golf. Additional benefits include: a membership to Youth on Course after completing two full sessions at First Tee (Youth on Course is a membership which offers discounted rates for junior golfers at various courses in the area), an end of the season carnival, “The Fairway Fair,” an event hosted by our Eagle class, and potential on course exposure on Fleming Golf Course.
